DT Swiss EX 1700 Classic 29 inch Wheel

The 2026 EX 1700 Classic is DT Swiss's aluminium enduro wheel, made for hard riding off the planned line. Sold as single wheels, front or rear, in 29 inch.

The asymmetric welded aluminium rims are 30mm inside, hooked and tubeless ready. The front rim has 28 DT competition race spokes to keep weight down, the rear has 32 for strength. The 350 hub runs Ratchet DEG with 72 points of engagement, and the rear freehub has DT Swiss's DF anti pedal kickback built in. You set it without tools to 0, 10 or 20 degrees of free play. Classic in the name means a classic flanged hub shell laced with J-bend spokes.

Fronts are 15 x 110mm Boost in Center Lock or 6-bolt, or 20 x 110mm Boost in 6-bolt. Rears are 12 x 148mm Boost in Center Lock or 6-bolt with Micro Spline or SRAM XD freehubs, plus 6-bolt rears with HG Slim or XD Slim freehubs, and a 12 x 157mm Super Boost 6-bolt rear with an HG Slim freehub.
