Park Tool CC-2 Chain Checker

A quick way to check chain wear. Drop the pins into the chain, press the swing arm lightly and read the gauge window. It reads from 0 to 1% wear on single-speed and most derailleur chains, including Shimano XTR 12-speed. Replacing a worn chain early saves your cassette and chainrings. For SRAM Flattop and T-Type 12-speed chains use the CC-4.2 instead.
