The Deore 4-piston brake. BL-M6200 lever with the two-piece BR-M6220 caliper, supplied as a J-kit with lever, hose and caliper together. A good pick for trail and enduro bikes that need more power without the price of XT.

The dual-diameter 4-piston caliper runs Shimano's new low viscosity mineral oil, a new piston seal and heat-resistant resin pistons, so the lever feel stays steadier over a wider range of temperatures. SERVO WAVE gets the pads to the rotor quickly, then puts more of the lever stroke into braking. The caliper takes standard rotors and Shimano's 2.2mm thick rotors.

Sold as a front or rear brake. The lever is I-SPEC EV compatible for mounting with your shifter, and the hose runs close along the bar for a tidy cockpit.
