Shimano EP8 DU-EP801 Drive Unit (Second Generation)

The updated EP8 e-MTB drive unit. 85Nm of torque and 600W peak power from a light, quiet, compact motor with low pedalling drag, in a magnesium body. Shimano say it holds a more consistent climbing speed and accelerates well at higher cadences, handy when pedalling out of corners.

New CAN and ACC ports expand system capability, and E-TUBE PROJECT adds customisation options and Finetune Mode. Works with Di2 rear derailleurs and internal geared hubs, including FREE SHIFT and automatic shifting.

Only compatible with Shimano's second generation battery management system. Like any e-bike system part it should be fitted and set up by a workshop. Not sure it fits your bike? Talk to us and we'll check.
