Shimano EP8 DU-EP800 Drive Unit (First Generation)

The original EP8 drive unit, built with a pure trail focus. 85Nm of torque, with reduced heat build-up. Shimano say the motor is lighter, quieter and more compact than their earlier units, with less pedalling drag.

It shares the same frame mount as the DU-E8000 and DU-E7000. Works with mechanical 12, 11, 10 and 9-speed, Di2 11-speed, FC-M8150 serration cranks and 11, 8, 7 and 5-speed internal geared hubs.

This is the disc brake version, 25km/h or 20mph. First generation battery management system with SD300 wiring. Like any e-bike system part it should be fitted and set up by a workshop. Not sure it fits your bike? Talk to us and we'll check.
