Specialized S-Works Recon EVO Mountain Bike Shoe White

Specialized's top-end XC and gravel race shoe, combining the Ares 2 road shoe's fit with the S-Works Recon's off-road sole. The patented PowerHug closure wraps the foot, and Specialized say it gives 20% more contact surface. Two BOA dials (BOA Fit System featuring Dual-Dial Li2) set the fit.

The unidirectional carbon outsole has rubber toe and heel lugs plus replaceable pontoons for off-road traction. It's built on the Body Geometry Natural Last, which Specialized say reduces forefoot pressure by 44%, along with the Varus Wedge, Longitudinal Arch and Metatarsal Button. About 280g per shoe in size 44.
