NOTE FOR END CUSTOMERS:
It is generally possible to retrofit an eBike using the smart system with eShift TRP E.A.S.I. A12. However, certain requirements must be met for this. Please contact your specialist eBike dealer. They can check whether retrofitting is possible and, if necessary, take care of the professional installation directly. The basic prerequisite is that the bicycle manufacturer agrees to a retrofit and that the eBike is designed for this.

It is generally possible to retrofit an eBike using the smart system with eShift TRP E.A.S.I. A12.

The prerequisite for this is that the eBike is equipped with a BDU31, BDU37 or BDU38. In addition, the following requirements must be met by the bicycle manufacturer.  

Firstly, you must have written confirmation from the bicycle manufacturer that a conversion to the E.A.S.I A12 is system-compliant. Secondly, activation of the HPP port via the DiagnosticTool 3 must be authorised for you by the bicycle manufacturer. If this function is locked, you must submit a configuration change request to the bicycle manufacturer to have the function enabled. Only then can you carry out the activation yourself via DiagnosticTool 3.   

You can obtain the Bosch HPP+CAN cable required for the conversion in the appropriate length (EB1212008E, EB1212008F or EB1212008G) from us for the install of the TRP E.A.S.I A12 Drivetrain.
